About Me
My name is Gabriel and I am a certified TRE and Reiki Practitioner, offering one on one as well as group TRE sessions.

Both of these modalities came to me naturally as a result of embarking on the journey of self discovery. In the beginning I had no intention to share Reiki or neurogenic tremors with others, both modalities were there simply for my own surrender, learning, integration, development. Fortunately I started to see that sharing and being there for others is also part of surrender, learning, integration and development.

Childhood
My journey began as a child, having a number of spontaneous moments where an aspect of nature/reality was revealed to me.
Around the age of 5, I questioned what the smallest dot would be, and I saw the infinite fractal like structure of our universe, later in life to discover that modern day physicists are also looking for the smallest dot, the search for the "God Particle".
On another occasion there was the realisation that there is a "voice in the head" which seemed to operate automatically and that I was the presence before the voice, a pointer that spiritual teachers like Eckhart Tolle often use for spiritual unfoldment.

Searching
I never spoke to anyone about these moments and gradually they faded away as I entered schooling life, sport and professional career. In my mid 20s, a sense that something was missing started to creep in and I began loosely searching, without knowing what I was searching for - photography, renovating, astronomy, psychology, time, ancient civilisations, UFO's, possibility of alien life, parallel universes, quantum physics etc.

Nothing seemed to satisfy the search until my early 30's when I stumbled across the book The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Something there resonated with my experiences as a child and I embarked on this journey. I studied the book and tried my best to apply the teachings, and soon came across other wonderful teachers such as Osho, Adyashanti, Ramana Maharshi, Robert Adams, J Krishnamurti and many others.

Awakening practices
Following the pointers from these wonderful teachers, I began to "practice" awareness meditation and self inquiry, Who Am I?
Through these practices there was the unfolding of a deeper awareness of my external as well as internal environment. I began to be more aware of my own thought process, belief systems, emotions and sensations in the body.
Through awareness meditation I also started experiencing wonderful glimpses of a deeper clarity, unconditional love, peace & completeness.
In the awakening process we become more sensitive. This sensitivity opens us to wonderful glimpses as well as the many faces of fear which seemingly obscures these.

Our fears need to be looked at with clarity and released with love.

Spontaneous Neurogenic Tremors
At some point, due to the self inquiry practices, I had an unexpected experience where I felt a sudden warmth and energy in my feet. This energy moved up into the legs, the abdomen, and than my body started to tremor.
From that moment, every time I would practice awareness, contemplation or self inquiry, my body would tremor. Later the tremors would start simply by doing a body scan.

I had an intuitive understanding that the tremors were a bi-product of meditation and that they were releasing blocked energy. I allowed them to be without interference or opposition, never consciously activating or looking for the tremors, they would just start on their own and stop on their own whenever I was meditating.

TRE - Trauma & Tension Release Exercises
Possibly 6 years after experiencing neurogenic tremors for the first time, I was chatting to a good friend Emiline and decided to ask her if she knew anything about shaking while meditating.

Emiline happens to be a certified TRE practitioner and trainer and quickly explained TRE to me. I also watched a few videos and recognised the tremors immediately.

Emiline's knowledge of TRE alone allowed me to open up to this process more because I now had a deeper understanding of what was happening, so I decided to have a TRE session with Emiline.

Even though I had 6 years experience with the tremors, the TRE session with Emiline was profound. To be in the presence of another human being who can understand, hold and guide you in this healing process is invaluable.

With TRE I also now had another entry point into the tremor mechanism, I was not dependant on meditating to access self healing of the nervous system. TRE also provided another platform to mediate from.

TRE Practitioner
After my first TRE session I intuitively decided to enrol in the practitioner course. I had no intention of becoming a TRE practitioner but thought the course would be beneficial for my personal growth.

The course was made up of 2 workshops, first one for facilitating one on one and the second for facilitating group sessions. In between the workshops there was practical sessions where I would have to facilitate TRE to others.

It was in the practical sessions where I started to feel at home with the facilitator process. Intuition started to unfold and a deeper connection with participants was being established. At times there was a sense of sacredness as TRE was facilitated, and this sense of sacredness drives me to be a TRE practitioner.

Reiki
On one occasion as I was facilitating aTRE session for a good friend Nat, it was pointed to me that Reiki was also part of the facilitating process.

I had become Reiki attuned many years prior but never used this modality. However here, in this setting , where a person is open to release from within their nervous system, it seems a perfect complimentary addition, totally natural and intuitive.

I have completed Level 2 Reiki to further honour this process and now offer Reiki as stand alone or if needed in TRE sessions.

Future
I am not sure what the future will bring, as this entire journey has been a total surprise for me.

I am drawn to other complimentary modalities such as Spinal Energetics, Zen Thai Shiatsu and Yoga and continue to practice self inquiry, meditation and contemplation.

Taking each day at a time, looking to serve with all my potentiality.

My Approach
Explore, be open, curious, have fun and enjoy all aspects of life.

Sometimes we approach things such as meditation, yoga, Reiki, somatic practices like TRE with a serious outlook, an outlook to fix, to change, to get rid of or to attain something.
I have been guilty of this myself, but fortunately I am starting to realise that the main benefits of being engaged in these practices is for the love of them, because they feel good and because they feel totally natural.

A non judgement, a total openness, receptivity, flows into facilitating sessions too. I am not here to change or fix anyone, merely being present to what is needed in the moment, to the flow of life, and allowing a natural response to that.

In tis way there is a sense of sacredness for me in each session that I facilitate. There is the sense of being in the right place, a sense of natural, effortless flow and familiarity, each time uncharted, newness unfolding.

It is the sense of sacredness alone that has drawn me to facilitate TRE and Reiki.
